Yoga & Mindfulness in the Park

A collaborative project between Make a Move and Keynsham Yoga

Sandhya from Keynsham Yoga and Jules from Make a Move share a mutual passion for bringing yoga and mindfulness into the community and out into nature, and making it affordable, friendly, fun and a way to bring people together.

“We delivered a pilot project in Keynsham Park over the summer of 2015 and, due to its success, we developed the project further in 2016. People of all ages, experiences and abilities participated and we have been really inspired by the interest, creativity, sharing, compassion and kindness people have brought to the sessions. Due to the success of this project we are looking to develop and grow our Yoga and Mindfulness in the Park programme.”

Participants said:

Kate

“I’ve found the Yoga and Mindfulness in the Park enormously uplifting, with the connection to nature adding to the mix in a wonderful way.”
Dr Sarah Fox

“Thanks for the mindfulness this morning Jules. What a calming way to start the wyoga mindfulness 4eekend and have a much needed bit of ‘me’ time.”
Julie Bennet

“Jules started the session by asking us what we understood about mindfulness and then gave us the ‘big secret’ – life will never stop moving at a pace but mindfulness will at least give you the ability to step away from it all for just a few minutes, to take stock and calm down. Thank you for introducing me to techniques I will take away with me and use in my daily life.”
